Well, this goes out hoping everyone is healthy and doing well. 7 weeks later and we continue to look for answers on what is the correct and safe thing to do in our everyday lives. News has surfaced that Pony Baseball and Little League have cancelled their international championship tournament but have suggested that regular season play stay in a holding pattern until everyone’s State & Local authority’s decide what is the best direction. Friday, May 1st State Health Secretary, Rachel Levine, stated that all sporting events continue to stay on hold until your local area gets into the Green phase of this pandemic. Once in the Green phase, everyone will be given guidelines to follow. As the Board of Directors of NHBSA, we continue to hope for some version of the 2020 season but only with the complete safety of all players and our families. Thank you for being patient and understanding as we work through the most difficult of times in not only the NHBSA season, but all of our lives.
If any families in the community need some support in any way, please contact us so we can do our best to find a way to help. Community always comes first.
Please stay safe and responsible.
Along with the NHBSA Board of Directors
We continue to be held in a situation that none of us ever thought we would ever be in the middle of, our entire board remains focused on the safety and health of our families in our league along with our communities. With the Governor extending our social distancing until April 30th we have started conversations with the ARL & ALLE KISKI leagues in which we play our inter league games with. The main topic was to make sure that all 15 communities involved understood that we are going to make sure safety in the first concern. Both ARL & ALLE KISKI have come up with several options on still playing ball in 2020, we will continue to monitor the current status of the Covid-19 pandemic and we will only proceed if it had been deemed safe to proceed to get back to our normal everyday lives, if that occurs in a time-frame to save the 2020 season we will look at moving forward to give the children a piece of a normal summer. Please check on our website at nhbsa.com for updates.
Please stay Safe and Responsible
We wanted to update all of our families on the current status of the NHBSA league, as all of us we are monitoring the changes that seem to come now on an hourly basis. We continue to be in touch with both Pony Baseball and ASA/USA Softball and like all of our everyday lives we are still in a wait and see situation. As the board of the league, the top priority continues to be the well-being of our entire community. We all Pray for everyone and a quick end to this awful time we are going through. Until next weeks message, please stay safe and responsible.
